Enterprise & National Car Rental Extend Benefits

We’re excited to share some great news with you: Enterprise and National are once again extending benefits for their most loyal customers, building on a series of loyalty tier extensions over the past two years.

National Car Rental has extended “elite tier” status for qualifying loyalty program members. Emerald Club Executive and Executive Elite tier status benefits that were set to expire on Feb. 28, 2023, will now be extended through Feb. 28, 2024 for those members who make at least one qualifying rental by the end of 2022.   In addition, Emerald Club Program Free Days, previously set to expire on Dec. 31, 2022, will roll over through Sep. 4, 2023.

As part of Enterprise’s Plus Your Points promotion, Enterprise Plus elite members with tiers expiring Feb. 28, 2023, will be targeted with a promotional badge for tier extension. To qualify for the extension, you must register for Plus Your Points and then complete one rental in calendar year 2022 which will extend the tier to February 28, 2024.

These extensions reiterate their commitment to support our customers who continue to be impacted by these ever-changing times – providing added flexibility as you look to book travel in the months ahead.

WestJet & Japan Airlines Enhance Codeshare

WestJet and Japan Airlines have enhanced their codeshare agreement, allowing WestJet to use its “WS” code on Japan Airlines (JAL) operated flights between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Narita International Airport (NRT) in Tokyo, Japan.

With the addition of Tokyo as a destination available for sale to guests, they can now seamlessly book travel to Tokyo via Vancouver from across the airline’s domestic network.

This new development expands the long-standing codeshare agreement between WestJet and Japan Airlines which has been in place since 2011.

Ross Leggett, Deputy Senior Vice President of Route Marketing, International Relations and Alliances of Japan Airlines, said that: “Japan Airlines is excited to strengthen our codeshare partnership with WestJet, by offering passengers more opportunities to travel between Japan and Canada. WestJet has been an outstanding partner, and we are committed to offering travellers seamless connectivity.”

The codeshare will offer optimized connecting times between WestJet and Japan Airlines flights, through check in and baggage checked to final destination at the first point of departure, and the ability to earn and redeem WestJet Dollars for members of WestJet Rewards.
